Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Chiang Mai

  • Morning: Arrival in Chiang Mai, welcome by the tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and refreshment break.
  • Lunch: Lunch together where you get to know your tour guide and fellow travelers.
  • Afternoon: Visit Wat Phra Singh, one of the most important Buddhist temples in Chiang Mai. Here you can learn more about Thai culture and religion.
  • Evening: Dinner at a local restaurant. Optional: Visit the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar for shopping and a first introduction to the nightlife.

Day 2Exploring Chiang Mai

  • Morning: Visit to the elephant sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to observe and even interact with elephants in an ethical environment.
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch surrounded by nature.
  • Afternoon: Visit a hill tribe village to learn about the indigenous cultures of northern Thailand.
  • Evening: Return to Chiang Mai and have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle

  • Morning: Drive to Chiang Rai.
  • Midday: Arrival in Chiang Rai and lunch.
  • Afternoon: Visit Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple. This architectural masterpiece is a must-see for every visitor to Chiang Rai.
  • Evening: Continue to the Golden Triangle, the meeting point of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. Enjoy the sunset on the Mekong River.

Day 4Chiang Rai and journey home

  • Morning: Visit the Opium Museum and the Tri-Border Area, where you will come across the point where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet.
  • Lunch: Lunch in Chiang Rai.
  • Afternoon: Return to Chiang Mai.
  • Evening: Farewell dinner in Chiang Mai.
