Monkey Beach

Monkey Beach is a popular attraction on Phi Phi Island and is located on the southwest side of Phi Phi Don Island. As the name suggests, it is known for its population of wild monkeys, which are one of the main attractions for visitors.

Monkey Beach is a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by lush greenery and towering cliffs. Accessible by boat, it is often offered as a stopover on boat tours or as part of a snorkeling trip around Phi Phi Island.

The beach is home to a colony of long-tailed macaque monkeys and visitors have the opportunity to observe and interact with these playful and inquisitive monkeys. However, it is important to approach them with caution and to follow all tour operator guidelines to ensure both the safety of visitors and the welfare of the monkeys.

While interacting with the monkeys can be an exciting experience, it’s important to respect their natural habitat and avoid feeding them. Feeding monkeys can disrupt their natural behavior, lead to a dependency on human food, and create potential conflicts between monkeys and visitors.

Snorkeling and swimming are also popular activities at Monkey Beach, as the crystal clear waters offer opportunities to explore the marine life and vibrant coral reefs in the area.

opt for a private tour that allows for a quieter and more intimate encounter with the monkeys and the surrounding natural beauty.
